first cow of the season
Written by brandon cyr
me and my papa were out fishing at a spot near lovels island. we got there at around 5 am and fished until 1 pm. we were had a chum slick of herrin going and we were also drifting chunks of herrin. so around 6:00 i put my rod down for a second to get a drink and i see my rod getin wacked out of the corner of my eye. so i grab my rod and set the hook and as im doing this the rod holder is fallin in the water. so im setting the hook with what felt like a cow on the end of my line with one hand and luckly grabbing the rod holder with the other. so i landed the fish and it measured out to be 37 inches and 18 pounds. not bad for a kid huh;)
