todays show - 2007/01/04 18:02 I liked the Kennybunk River show , boy , the star of the show didn't get to fish much on camera I'm going to try to catch the series if I get out of work early.
I got a question were you using an egg sinker in line with the live bait? Boy OH Boy I wish I could get Macks like that here on Buzzards Bay I'm on the West end of the canal, and I have to go to CCBay to get them, small Scup are nice Striper Candy but Illegal.

Re:todays show - 2007/01/05 13:30 from what i saw, it looked like egg sinkers on the line, probably 1 or 2ox or lighter. for some reason, i recall hearing 2oz, but i could be wrong.

Re:todays show - 2007/01/23 21:33 Hi Guys, thanks for watching, sorry for the delay. Yes, we were using 2 oz sinkers only because we were in somewhate shallow water. The ledge came up to 6 feet and the fish were stacked against it. If we dropped it down to the bottom on the deep side (20 feet or so) by the time we hit the strike zone were the fish were stacked up, we'd have to much scope out and wouldn't feel the hit as much. So we dropped about 10 feet of line out which dangled in the deep water but bumped bottom once we hit the ledge.
The Mackerel up there is amazing, we loaded up in minutes, it was sick! AND, when a striper saw a fresh livie up in the river they were like WHAM, and just hammered it! Although the fish were small (big by their standards in Maine) it was a blast the scenery was amazing....It's so nice up there. If you ever get a chance to fish it, you should, it's worth the trip for a calm, fun day of fishing. Give Barry Gibson (my guest that day) a shout, he's a good guy and knows his stuff...
