race point - 2005/10/22 20:10Went fishing yesterday 10-21-05 at race point.The plan was to try and get a couple of bluefish and live line them for giant tuna, well we could not find any trolling niner rigs.WE were catching small stripers two and three at a time so we changed to black leadheads on wire to try and get some bigger bass.We caught one nice fish at 28 pounds and about thirty bass between 24-28 inches.The water was 51 degrees and calm, the best fishing was near the bathhouse.Other than being a little cold it was a great day on the water for the end of october. With any luck we will have a few more good days before I have to pull the boat and go back to work for the winter.

Re:race point - 2005/10/24 19:52Nice report, thanks- Like you I tried to find a few blue's without any luck. It's crazy sometimes, when you want bass you end up thick in the blues, when you want blues, can't find'em! I've got a few good reports saying live bluefish is all the Giants were eating. Last week the bite switched though to something else......and if you had this bait, you were doing well.....
