bass on live macks - 2006/05/22 19:03
5-21-06 The weather forecast was lousy so the plans were to hide from the high winds.Left plymouth at 6 a.m and headed for scorton ledge we jigged up a few macks and sent them out hopeing for some big bass. The first fish was a dogfish,Just as I was getting discouraged I hear one of the drags start to scream and the girl(Erin) holding it screaming also. She landed the first nice fish of the day a 22# 38 inch bass. The rest of the day went well and we caught several more between 32-38 inches. We used 2 ounce weights and 7/0 hooks in 50-70 feet of water, the water was 48 degrees .We just missed the heavy storms that went through to the north of us and the ride home was sloppy to say the least.
