Anybody fishing in 2007? - 2007/07/04 16:12 Hey everybody, whats going on here? There is no fishing reports coming in this year. There is one post for pogies and the last post before that is from May.
Anybody fishing Stripers (or even dang bait) this year? I am going out of Portsmouth, NH this Friday. Hope to have a report when I get back.
Keep this good thing going here. It helps to know where to go.

Re:Anybody fishing in 2007? - 2007/07/10 17:27 hi there,i am also fishing the portsmouth,kittery area also.pogies are pretty plentiful.mackeral have made another appearance{out to the shoals}.plenty of small stripers in the river.want to catch the big"ns fish the ocean shoreline with live eels at night or chunk mackeral early morn or night-time.good luck. marc

Re:Anybody fishing in 2007? - 2007/07/16 17:40 Fishing was great in June and early July at Block/Pt. Judith for me. Biggest was just over 40lbs. Water warmed up 4 degrees last week and this weekend was tough fishing. Only a couple just under 20lbs. Bunker/shad seem to be disappearing fast. Might have to switch to eels in deep water. Neto,Vitullo, and the rest of that company were fishing the SE side of Block last weekend with eels, but didn't seem to be doing much. Waiting/Hoping for a little change myself. Might have to hit the night shift or hit a little offshore bite until September if it stays this way. Good luck...

Re:Anybody fishing in 2007? - 2007/07/24 16:53 fished the brewster islands this weekend. can't say i really fished, but anchored at a couple spots and threw some chunk bait out there. fished at the turn into the flood. one dogfish.

left the trolling gear at home. next time, i bring everything. duh

Re:Anybody fishing in 2007? - 2007/07/24 20:59 Nice to see some people are still fishing (and catching). I got skunked again. I caught some pollock of the shoals in the morning and when I got into the river at about 9am, I caught one striper (18") and then came the blues and made a mess off my bait. By the time I could rig up a double hook and try to catch some of them, they were gone up the river.
Well maybe better luck this weekend.
